CIHRA's TEAM 601 TAKES THE ICE CENTRE
B4 DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP!
This summer's CIHRA Team 601 crew came into the B4 Division Championship game at the Ice Centre with a 13 and 1 record, rolled to an 8-2 victory to cap the season at 14 and 1, and skated off with the Cup !All kinds of great stories and humorous anecdotes followed CIHRA's latest Summer Adult League team. However, in the interest of being "Politically Correct", you'll have to get through the Homeland Security squadron and accost one of the team members to hear them :)
As an important FYI though, this year's squad represented CIHRA with aplomb, dogged determination, and in true Referee Team fashion, led the B4 Division in Goals, and of course, Penalty Minutes...
Team 601 would like to thank their sponsors, ..... oh, what's that ? .... We don't have any Sponsors ?. But what about the 4 gallons of Blue Moon this team consumed after every game ??? No, not Blue Moon ?? What about the White Russian company ?? No ? Not them either ??? Ok, fine, we don't have any sponsors.
Well, then we'd like to thank our multitude of Fans for showing up to every game....oh, what's that ?.... we didn't have a multitude of Fans at every game ???.... You're sure ?? Ok, FINE.
Then we'd like to thank those who did show up for every game - Kevin's Family, (Chris & Brandy), Matt & Kyle's CU ""friends"" (gotta love summer attire don't you ?? although it was hard to concentrate during those games.), Eric's Significant Other, (our 3rd period good luck charm), Ron's daughter Sabrina, Rick and Ceci Morris, (because every team needs it's own fans to HECKLE them from the stands), and of course, Mr. & Mrs. Turnquist, (even though we know they only came to watch Mike score goals and Matt throw checks...).
Also, a big shout out to "Coach Joe", who, in spite of Team 601 players, coached us to a winning record :)
